AmbaFlex is a Dutch company and global market leader in spiral conveyor solutions. We achieved this leading position by offering a unique product, by putting the customer first and by focusing on quality and innovation. You will find our machines at almost all manufacturers of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods like Heineken, Coca Cola, Unilever, etc.) and also at distribution centres for major e-commerce companies.

We operate from our sales & service offices in Shanghai (China), Zwaag (head office, the Netherlands) and Dallas, (Texas, USA) and we have our own production sites in Jucu (Romania), Kunshan (China), Zwaag (the Netherlands) and Canton (Ohio, USA). With operating 4 production sites we can fulfil the global market needs.

 For our product line ‘AmbaVeyor’ we are looking for a proactive, experienced, entrepreneurial Business Unit Manager with a hands-on mentality and drive to grow AmbaVeyor to the next level.


Job description

As our AmbaVeyor Business Unit /Global Sales Manager, you are responsible to design, prepare and execute our AmbaVeyor Global Sales Plan. You will manage the AmbaVeyor global sales team, product portfolio and will be the frontrunner for further development to keep AmbaVeyor in place as a trusted and reliable business partner. Together with your team you will make sure current and future goals for AmbaVeyor are met.  

You will be working in a professional global environment in close collaboration with our Regionals Sales Managers and their teams, production and other stakeholders. Furthermore you will develop and implement sales strategies according to local standards and needs. Also, you will manage "major strategic projects" in order to strengthen our position in the global conveyor market.

In this role you will report to the AmbaFlex Global Sales Director.

Profile of the candidate

The right candidate is self-supporting and takes initiative and is internationally orientated. Multiple years of experience in machine manufacturing and sales environment and preferably the material handling /conveyor business is essential. You have worked in an international business environment. In addition to your experience your personality and leadership capabilities will be of outmost importance.

You're a trusted and professional business partner. Strategic at heart and tactical and result driven in practice. You have a good understanding of people and know how to build solid work relations in order to build the best business unit in achieving our business objectives.


Our requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Technical and /or Business Management or similar education
  • Understanding or worked in the International Material Handling / Conveying market
  • >10 years relevant working experience in relevant jobs, preferably in a global environment
  • Experience with setting up Sales plans and implementing Sales Strategies
  • Positive result driven and hands on attitude
  • Strong communicator on management level
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or English is mandatory, additional languages are a plus
