19/3 - Coronavirus update
March 19th, 2020
In relation to the development of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) globally and the latest safety measures issued by the national authorities in various countries, we can assure you that AmbaFlex has taken all the necessary contingency measures.
We do this to comply with all the prevention and safety measures adopted by international, national, and local authorities. But above all else, we want to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers, suppliers, and the members of our local communities.
Although this situation must be seen as a "Force Majeure" we want to inform you that we are doing our utmost to guarantee the required support to our customers. All departments are in fact operational, working through the use of Remote Collaboration solutions. We are carefully and continuously monitoring the outbreak and are committed to keeping you informed concerning the implications of its development on our business.
As we monitor the situation, we will anticipate and align our supply chain and production facilities in the regions accordingly. This is also true for the transportation of equipment and the supply of spare parts. Although, even with all the precautions taken, we cannot take into account the possible delays due to stricter border procedures or on-site deliveries into the "lock-down" regions. These depend on the availability and policy of the forwarders used and the policies of the local authorities. Regarding the areas in "lock-down", we will stay in close contact with all parties involved to determine the most suitable solution to avoid potential delays.
In addition, we are increasing our remote service support capabilities to ensure that we can maintain the required level of service for our customers. In case the supply of a product or service is delayed, we will get in contact and find a tailor-made solution in cooperation with our customer.
For questions regarding virus transfer via products, we refer to the statements of the Dutch Government Department of Health and the World Health Organisation. “The Coronavirus is only transferred from human to human or human to animal and vice versa”. The virus cannot survive outside the human/animal body for very long, therefor infection transferred due to product contact is extremely unlikely.
We hope to have informed you sufficiently, and in case you require additional information, please refer to your regional AmbaFlex contact or one of our regional Sales & Service Offices.
