Introduction Bart Sijm, Field Service Technician EMEA

At the moment, one department has more challenges than another to carry out the work in a 'normal' way. For AmbaFlex Customer Service this is perhaps the most true. The work for Field Service also continues during the lockdowns. In the coming updates, we will introduce you to a number of dedicated Service Technicians around the world. Today the introduction of Bart Sijm of Global Customer Service EMEA.

Bart Sijm, Field Service Technician
My name is Bart Sijm. I'm 29 years old and have been working at AmbaFlex since 2015. I started in the assembly where the SpiralVeyors are being built and tested before delivery to the end-user. After one and a half years, I transferred to Field Service.

Our products are sold worldwide so in my work I get to see a lot of different places and customers. My job consists of general maintenance, but also installation, integration, and commissioning of new machines.

There is a lot of variation from week to week, and that is what I really like about this job.

In these times, where most regions are on lockdown, the challenges for service are extra large. Fortunately, AmbaFlex is still running at full capacity, and I can quickly be deployed where it's needed.

A cool project where I am part of is the One Minute Maintenance videos. The customer can scan QR codes on different parts of the SpiralVeyor; it will then show a video with me doing the maintenance.

I'm always there to help a customer out!

When I'm not at work, I like to spend time with friends, play football and make trips on my motorcycle.
